What happened to raphal

 This story starts out with two nineteen year old girls named Suzie and Camille . The girls lived in an American suburb called Alecode . They had quite a few suburbs surrounding them . All the suburbs together created a tight-knit and  safe community .  Of course this picture perfect image could only last so long , when on one cold winter evening on December 23rd , just two days away from the big Christmas day celebrations . There was an unusual disappearance of 16 year old Raphal May . To explain why this was unusual , I'll give a brief introduction of the star Raphal was . He had helped his neighborhood   in times of  the covid crisis and had always been there for anyone in high school who would need his help, he might have been a little weak academically but he certainly made up for that in the soccer field. He was kind hearted and gentle . He had always been a joyful boy with a family that seemed supportive and caring. The cops knew of him too , in a positive light due to his help around the community . So the question arose why would Raphal run away or be murdered ? He could not have got on anyone's bad side nor did their seem any logical explanation to support that he ran away .

Now come in Suzie and Camille , two years after the disappearance they are analyzing the case . Even now  it was still an open investigation. Hours passed by with no real breakthrough , everything either lead to a dead end or there was no sufficient evidence to support the theories. Camille seemed to have enough and went to ask her mother to order in some dinner. Now that Suzie was alone she started thinking more clearly. One thing she had not yet brought up was the relationship between Camille and Raphal . Raphal had been their one year senior in high school and camille and him got close immediately after school started in August . Raphal was not from the same neighborhood as them  . He was from one of the the surrounding neighborhoods of Alecode , which was ironically called Luckyland Park. Suzie had been stopping herself from going through camilles box she always kept off bounds . Now she decided was the perfect oppurtunity.

Slightly terrified and very much on edge she opened the box, inside were some old pictures and notes she wrote to herself .Everything felt ordinary, until Suzie dug further . Taken aback a bit she saw newspaper clippings of Raphal's disappearance . There were photos with Raphal she had never seen before. Until now Suzie thought she knew everything about camille as they were best friends since kindergarten. She found a piece of paper with an address and phone number with Raphals name on it . The only problem with this paper was that it did not have Raphals actual address . Wide eyed Suzie recorded the information on her phone in a hurry with shaking hands . Camille would be back any second now . Camille walked in a few minutes later and suspected nothing at first . Then, she noticed Suzie looked shook up. Concerned , she asked if Suzie was alright. Suzie brushed her worry off by saying being left alone with the case had just got to her and that they should discuss something else.

The minute suzie got home , she put in the address in her maps and drove over.The address was almost an hour away . Upon reaching she saw that it was just a house that looked extremely unkempt and like it had not been occupied for ages . With and audible gulp Suzie decided to walk up to the door and knock on it . No one answered so she tried opening the door and it immediately swung open with ease . The house had a sullen atmosphere , there was a slight stench and a singular inflatable mattress on the floor. This indicated that someone was probably living here and maybe not so long ago . There was some rotten food in the kitchen but nothing that would be cause of concern or out of the ordinary. Suzie decided she was going to confront Camille about this.

She frantically drove over to Camille's house . Bursting in through her front door . She ran up the stairs to Camille's room. Camille looked up from her bed in bewilderment . Suzie realized she had no idea what to say . So she simply showed Camille the address. upon seeing this Camille's eyes widened . First Camille was wide eyed and shocked and then a small rage took over her . She asked Suzie if she snooped through her personal things. Suzie however was not having this and she immediately yelled at Camille for keeping this from her. In that moment guilt took over Camille and she told Suzie to sit down and she would explain the whole situation. Suzie mind went through all of the worst case scenarios . Did Raphal threatened  Camille and that is the reason why she kept it a secret? What if Camille was involved in his murder? 

City of Wonder

Edwin and his father had recently moved from  Ménerbes an ancient and alluring village in the French department of Vaucluse. His father had gotten a job opportunity in New York . He couldn't believe he would be going to America . As soon as he had heard he had started practicing his English he still had a heavy French accent and had trouble in pronunciation . He had never known life outside his village and it filled him with a sense of nervousness and excitement. 

When time had finally come to say his goodbyes he cried in the arms of his bestfriend they had known each other since birth. Leaving all this behind was hard for him and going to a strange foreign land even harder. He had met a couple American tourists when they came to explore their village . Some had astonishing arms filled with tattoos and some had long brightly colored hair braided with beads. He brushed his dirty blonde hair out of his eyes  as he looked up at the humongous Paris Airport. The entire flight he could feel his heart pounding against his chest. When they finally landed he felt mighty relieved. 

All he could do was stare out the taxi window at the buildings taller than anything he had ever see .  It really was a sight to behold for him. Edwin clung onto his fathers arm the entire time. When they finally reached their apartment he realized it was much smaller than his home back in France . There was one small bedroom and a crammed kitchen  and living room the walls had a depressing off white color and the stench was almost unbearable. He didn't say anything as he knew his father had worked very hard to come to New York. Besides it was only his father and him who would live there. 

He soon grew very lonely with no one at school wanting to be his friend and his dad constantly working. One day it was raining and he didn't have an umbrella he sat back in school a single tear escaped his eye . Suddenly a girl stood over him with an umbrella. He was very confused. He knew the girl , her name was Alia she was one of the most popular girls in his school her skin was slightly tanned  and she had  long thick black hair. In broken English he asked her why she was waiting for him. She smiled and let out a small chuckle . She told him that she had noticed him for quite a few days and wanted to be friends. He was taken aback. with disbelief in his tone he asked her if she was joking. She sighed and told him she was like him once she was new to school from a different country and no one wanted to be her friend . She said she would have done anything just to have a friend or one person who took notice of her. Edwin smiled at her and they walked back home together. 

By the time they had reached Edwin's home it had stopped raining. Before he could go enter his house. Alia hastily grabbed him by the arm and asked him if he wanted to hangout. It was scary for him but he trusted Alia and was old enough to explore the city. He aggressively shook his head and alia smiled widely . She knew the best cafes and spots . He started at the seats in the cozy cafe , who knew such a warm and homely place could exist amidst a cold and busy city like New York. Alia dragged him through beautiful parks and scary streets . Everything had its own magical charm. He realized New York really was the city of wonder .

After a long day at work Edwins's father had finally reached home. New York hadn't been kind to him or his son. Surprisingly when he came home his son wasn't down or in a dismal mood. He was smiling . It was a true and wide smile. "Good day at school?", asked 

Edwin's father. He nodded and told him all about Alia. When looking at his smiling, happy and hopeful boy Edwin's father realized coming to new York had been absolutely worth it.

Promises

 We all make promises in our life. Yet, not all of us keep our promises.

 There was a girl called Emily Stone who was 13 years old . Emily had lived with her foster family all her childhood. Emily had been told all her family except Emily had died in a car crash. One day Lidia , who was in charge of collecting mail had found a letter addressed to Emily . 

Lidia being nosy in nature . Had her curiosity sparked by the letter. she quickly opened it to read it. Her eyes widened and she immediately ran to the upstairs bedroom where Emily was fast asleep. Lidia shook her aggressively . Emily grunted and told her to stop . She sat upright her beautiful long brown curly hair a mess over her head. Lidia said nothing just handed her the letter with a huge grin. Lidia had been close friends with Emily since they were little kids. Their  friendship was something of a jealous topic for the other girls in the foster home.

Emily's sleepiness had completely left her body as she stared at the letter with disbelief . The letter was from an 20 year old girl called called Olivia Rogers claiming to be her sister. The letter didn't say much except that Olivia would be arriving tomorrow to meet her. Would she finally have a mother or father. Then she realized she had seen both her parents death certificates when she was 10 . She couldn't think this was real and wasn't just  a prank from the older girls. 

That was till she saw her sister with her own eyes , her sister had the same beautiful hair and olive skin tone as her. The first thing Olivia said to Emily was that she had a lot to explain. She sat in silence in Olivia's car as Olivia explained what had happened. They had been sent to the same adoption center and Olivia had been 10 when a rich family from uptown New York had decided to adopt her. She cried for days as she didn't want to be separated from her young sister. her new family had told her that her sister would also be adopted from a rich family in California . Little did Olivia know it was all a lie . 

Emily not being adopted till she was 12 and the adoption center not having enough place for the young  children, had been sent to a  foster family . Olivia explains she had been trying to find Emily since she was 18 but couldn't find any records that linked her to California. Only when she had recently turned 20 had Olivia's adoptive parents broken their silence on what had happened to Emily. The truth was out in the open. Olivia immediately searched for Emily's foster home and booked a ticket to Florida to meet Emily. 

Olivia said that she had promised to meet Emily again  no matter what happened . Emily broke down in Olivia's arms and they wept together . They spent the entire evening telling each other about every detail about their lives and laughed and cried the night away. Olivia took custody of Emily and they lived happily together finally getting to share precious and important life moments with each other . Both their hearts were content and they were inseparable . Olivia had fulfilled her promise.

Changed

It was a normal day in Whiteville . The sun was out and shining brightly overhead. Lucy and Macy were two twins just barely over the age of twelve. They also happened to be one of  the richest children in Whiteville .Bored of their royal and idle lives they decided to do something out of the ordinary. There was an intruiging  park many other children had spread rumors about it. They decided to pay it a visit , wishing for something out of the ordinary .

         Although Lucy was terrified after actually agreeing without much thought ,Macy said, "We're looking for adventure and this might be our only chance''. Lucy reluctantly agreed. The offer of adventure tempted her too much and outweighed her fears  .It was true indeed, that  their life was boring .They had heard a lot of conspiracies, to at least name  one, it had been known to be haunted which was comepletely untrue and not beilievable for Macy.Lucy was frightened of it to an extent but did not beilive much in ghosts, she was more terrified of finding someone or something they should have never come across. They did believe however, they would find something big like money or equally important secrets. Money didn't tempt them much,,  but secrets was a different aspect. They had never been much too involved in town matters.     

Their parents never really let them go out of their house and mingle with other children. This was Macy's one chance to be a hero and impress  everyone. She had dragged Lucy along into the mess. She knew getting Lucy to come with her would be easy due to her naive nature. If anything were to happen she would not have to take the blame alone.

Once they reached the park. They both stood still in a moment of awe. There was tall grass everywhere weed growing on the slides and swings .In an almost intimidating way . Macy was obviously the first to walk in, not even being careful about where she steped. Sighing ,Lucy walked in knowing she had to take care of her sister and that there was no point in arguing. Suddenly they heard rustling noises from behind the tree.

Macy gulped releasing how unprepared they were for whatever was in this mysterious park. Suddenly a pack of wolves had cornered them .Lucy knowing something like this was going to happen had already kept  911 on speed dial. The alpha wolf made a grab for them. Macy had started crying and shouting. Lucy was too overwhelmed to tell Macy about the police and to not worry .

Finally the police arrived and saved the girls . Macy wanted fame but all she got was shame. All the other  children made fun of them. This did not affect Lucy since she knew they would forget about it in a while .Macy on the other hand learned her lesson through this.

The Mystrey Mirror

Once there were three teenagers Mike, Perry, and Gita. They had been known to be troublemakers. One day when they were hanging out in an old park, it started raining cats and dogs. They quickly ran to the nearest shelter. They were in an old warehouse. Finally noticing their surroundings, they noticed most of the place was empty apart from an intriguing figure covered in an old white dusty sheet.

The mysterious object was so long that it reached the ceiling, it was rectangular in shape. Perry, usually the scared one wanted to get out of the old warehouse as the warehouse looked as if it had been barren and empty for a long time. the place had an extremely eerie feeling to it. Gita, also suddenly spoked of her surroundings, said, "We really should be getting out of here".

Mike, the most daring one laughed at them and suddenly walked up to the mirror. Alarmed by this Gita and Perry watched him in shock. Perry was almost on the floor quivering. Mike flung the dusty sheet off. The dust flew around in the illuminated moonlight. Mike turned towards them and said in a sarcastic tone, "Oh! How scary, a mirror". He leaned on the mirror casually. Suddenly in a split second, he was sucked into the mirror. Perry almost passed out and Gita gulped nervously.

Gita walked up to the mirror and had to drag Perry along with her. The truth was they were completely in the dark about what they were going to witness. Gita decided to just leap into the mirror and made sure she holding Perry. Suddenly they were in a completely different world. No, it wasn't beautiful or even scary for that matter. They found themselves standing in a very windy place. The people there were wearing vintage clothes. Perry noted that his surroundings looked like something that he had seen in his grandfather's old photos. Suddenly, a newspaper flies in front of Gita's face and she reaches out for it and grabs it. "Perry...the date on the newspaper...its '12th September 1935'." Perry looks at her with a shocked expression, unable to say anything. Lost for words both of them walked onto the street. Then suddenly a voice spoke from behind them in a booming captivating sense of tone.  It was the mirror or what was left of it. Its huge size was decreasing rapidly

The mirror said they only had a few thirty minutes to get Mike and get out of the past or they'll be stuck in the past forever. Now they panicked and looked at the empty street and started running. They found an empty town and searched everywhere but they weren't able to find him. Only 5 minutes were left and then the time ran out. There were only 30 seconds left and the mirror returned and gave them the choice to leave Mike and go back. When it finally looked like they had no choice they climbed through the mirror. Perry climbed in first and when Gita put her foot in and suddenly hesitated when she saw Mike! He ran towards her and just as the mirror was about to close, in the exhilarating moment she grabbed his arm.

They were back. Safe and sound. Perry saw Mike and teared up. It had stopped raining. Finally, after a long adventure, they finally went home.
